Super Bowl Brands: Coke

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
It’s no secret that Coca-Cola is one of the world’s favorite soft drinks, so it only seems natural that it would be one of the top dogs in Super bowl advertising. This veteran has a portfolio of over one hundred years of advertising, and continues to create commercials we all know and love.

One of the most memorable Super Bowl commercials from last year was the parade balloons fighting over a coke. If you missed this hilarious clip, you should definitely take literally a minute of your time to check it out.

This year, head to head competition will be seen in more places than just the playing field. As always, Coke and Pepsi will duke it out for the top spot in consumers’ hearts when it comes to soft drinks. Don’t let the first half fool you when deciding on the champion of colas…Pepsi has actually managed to buy most of the spots.

You die hard Coke fans will have to wait until the second half to see the unveiling of the company’s new campaign, “Open Happiness.” The idea of this global campaign focuses on the need for more human connection that many feel has been lost due to the digital age. Some commercials will also play on the humor of keeping Coke’s secret formula from others. There is no doubt that the commercials will be up to par with the high standards of Coca-Cola, and the event will truly be a battle of the brands!
